These Wind Turbines are Formidable!

The Eiffel Tower is sporting a brand new look, though walking the streets of Paris, you’d be excused for not noticing. In February, two wind turbines were installed 400 feet above the ground, on top of the iconic tower’s restaurant. Though the wind turbines are 17 feet in length, they were painted to blend seamlessly with the Eiffel Tower’s aesthetic. Diners in the high end restaurant will also be none the wiser; the turbines, produced by Urban Green Energy, are designed to be absolutely silent and to minimize vibrations. Positioned that high in the air, the turbines will take advantage of consistent winds to produce over 10,000kWh of electricity, enough energy to support all of the commercial activities in the tower.
